# Separation agreement template

## Separation Agreement

This Separation Agreement (the "Agreement") is made between Employer Name ("Employer") and Employee Name ("Employee").

### 1. Separation Date

Employee's last day of employment will be 2024-01-01.

### 2. Severance Payment

Employer agrees to pay Employee a severance amount of $5000, subject to standard withholdings.

### 3. Release of Claims

In exchange for the severance payment, Employee agrees to release Employer from any and all claims arising out of their employment or separation.

### 4. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of State of California.
