In real estate, the contingency date is the decision date
Commercial real estate contracts run on contingency periods, windows to inspect, finance, and confirm feasibility before the deal becomes binding. The contract is full of these short, hard deadlines, and they behave differently from a renewal date: when a contingency window closes, your right to object, renegotiate, or walk away with your deposit usually closes with it. Missing it does more than cost time; it changes your legal position.
